Bolivia made full member of Mercosur

On 17 July 2017, Bolivia became a full member of the Latin American free trade bloc following the approval of its four members – Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Venezuela – during the 48th summit meeting of the trade bloc.

Prior to its accession, Bolivia was already an associate member. The country will now enjoy a market of 230 million people in return of its commitment to implement the common external tariff on goods.
