EBCA welcomes EU plans to open negotiations with Japan on a Free Trade Agreement

EBCA’s members are delighted that the European Council has given a mandate to the Commission to start negotiations with Japan over a comprehensive Free Trade Agreement. As a key trading partner for European businesses, it is important that the Japanese market is easily accessible to imports of a wide range of goods and services, and equally important that European countries can easily attract investment and imports from Japan where this adds value to the European economy.
