Launch of the EU Garment Initiative

A high-level stakeholder event will take place in Brussels on 25 April 2016 to officially launch the EU Garment Initiative. DG Devco will present the garment initiative, and discuss how the EU as well as other stakeholders can promote and implement responsible business conduct in the sector. Participants will also be invited to share best practices on responsible supply chain management.

Neven Mimica, Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development, Maria Asenius, Head of Cabinet to the EU Commissioner for Trade, Cecilia Malmström and Pablo Isla, Chairman and CEO of Inditex will be among the speakers.

The event is organised by DG Devco and will be held in coordination with the Dutch Presidency.
